About

Weathered Woods is a wood shop. It’s a place where I get to be creative and make things that might be useful or valuable to people. My name is Mark and I’m the son of a carpenter. My dad was the son of a carpenter. In my wood shop I have one wall that is special. There’s old, weathered, gray wood nailed to that wall. On that weathered wood wall hang many old tools that were once used by my dad and his dad. There are old hand planers, saws, hammers of many types, hand-crank drills, and many more things. They all show years of use. The tools always remind me of my dad and my grandfather. They were good people. They worked hard for a living and never made much money. They just wanted to be happy with their families. I hope you will love whatever you purchase from this site. Whatever you decide to buy, it will be hand-made using wood that otherwise might have been tossed away or burned in a fireplace. I love to see wood that gets a new lease on life–that also provides beauty and value for someone like you!
