Porch Shelf Inside Cut (Small)

What do we mean by “inside” cut? Inside cuts of wood look new! Even though wood turns gray when it weathers, the inside remains like new wood–fresh from the sawmill. The weathered gray coloring only affects the outer 2 millimeters of the wood. Look closely at the photos below. You’ll see the gray edges on every piece of wood. Consider the inside cut to be the inside slices of bread (where the crust is only along the edges). Why do we offer these inside cuts? Because we use ALL of our wood. Remember, we give new life to old wood. If we didn’t use the inside cuts we’d be throwing away 50% of our wood!
