These porch shelves are made from the inside cut of the wood, but have been oiled with a penetrating wood finish oil. This option allows you to have an inside cut shelf, but with a protective oil finish. These shelves can be more exposed than the standard inside cut, and outside cut, shelves. Look closely at the photo below. You should be able to see that the wood color is more yellow/orange. Our non-colored wood oil turns the inside cuts to this yellow/orange color naturally.
